Basketball Game Preview: Tabernacle Christian Conquerors vs. Mountain View Christian Academy Mustangs

The Tabernacle Christian Conquerors will face off against the Mountain View Christian Academy Mustangs at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. Tabernacle Christian will be strutting in after a victory while Mountain View Christian Academy will be coming in after a defeat.

Tabernacle Christian is looking to give their home crowd another W after opening their season at home on Monday. They took their game with ease, bagging a 76-46 win over Victory Christian Academy. The Conquerors not only won on Monday, but they posted their biggest win since January 24th (when they won 79-39).

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Tabernacle Christian to victory, but perhaps none more so than Parker Schatz, who shot 53% from the field to rack up 20 points along with eight rebounds and four steals. Those eight boards gave Schatz a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Elijah Taguinod, who went 10-for-16 on his way to 22 points and eight rebounds.

Meanwhile, Mountain View Christian Academy played a tough matchup on Friday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They lost 60-39 to New Manna Christian. The Mustangs haven't had much luck with the Wind recently, as the team has come up short the last five times they've met.

Everything came up roses for Tabernacle Christian against Mountain View Christian Academy when the teams last played back in November of 2023, as the team secured an 82-51 victory. In that contest, the Conquerors amassed a halftime lead of 42-19, an impressive feat they'll look to repeat on Monday.
