Football Recap: Gulf Piles Up the Points Against Pasco

Gulf never let their opponents score on Tuesday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat the Pasco Pirates 39-0. Give the Buccaneers' defense some credit: that's the team's third straight shutout.

Gulf didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Aniyah Jones and Tajinae Bonney. Jones got in on the action too, converting a pick into a touchdown.

Gulf pushed their record up to 5-1 with the win, which was their third straight at home. They've dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 33 points. As for Pasco, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 0-2.

Looking ahead, Gulf will challenge Mitchell at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Gulf will aim to continue their three-game streak of scoring more points each matchup than the last. As for Pasco, they will look to take advantage of their home field for the first time this season as they take on Wiregrass Ranch at 7:00 p.m. on March 4th. Wiregrass Ranch's defense has only allowed 15 points per game this season, so Pasco's offense will have their work cut out for them.
