Football Recap: Elizabethtown Piles Up the Points Against South Philadelphia

Elizabethtown got themselves on the board against South Philadelphia on Saturday, but South Philadelphia never followed suit. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat the Rams 44-0. That looming 44-0 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for the Bears yet this season.

Elizabethtown was led to victory by Trent Kauffman and Prince Wratto. Kauffman threw for 84 yards and a pair of TDs on only seven passes, while Wratto rushed for 93 yards and one touchdown on only eight carries. The dominant performance also gave Kauffman a new career-high in passer rating (139.3).

The victory made it two in a row for Elizabethtown and bumps their season record up to 3-1. Those wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 39.5 points over those games. As for South Philadelphia, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-3.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Elizabethtown will square off against Ephrata at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. This will be the Bears' first chance to prove their worth in the conference.
