A Season-Best Effort from Jimmie Burk Leads Redwood over Porterville

Jimmie Burk produced his most outstanding game to date while leading Redwood to the win on Friday. Burk rushed for 236 yards and three touchdowns while picking up 10.3 yards per carry, and also picked up 33 receiving yards and a touchdown. He's now once again averaging 100+ rushing yards (111.7) per game. The dominant performance gave him a new career-high in rushing yards.

If the past is any indication, Burk could be in store for another big game when he takes on Monache on Friday. Back in October of 2023 (the last time Burk saw the Marauders), he rushed for 123 yards and two touchdowns on only 14 carries.

Najera Came Up Big in Golden West's 48-0 Win

Jayden Najera posted a new career-high in rushing yards on Friday. He threw for 223 yards and three touchdowns while completing 95% of his passes, and also rushed for 62 yards and a touchdown on only six carries.

The victory (which was Golden West's fifth in a row) raised their record to 5-1. Najera and Golden West will be playing at home against Porterville at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.

Case Anders Delivers Electric Performance Vs Mt. Whitney

Golden West picked up their fifth consecutive win on Friday thanks in part to Case Anders. Mt. Whitney had no answer to Anders as he rushed for 110 yards and two touchdowns on only eight carries.

This year, Anders has run in 7 touchdowns while averaging 84 rushing yards per game. He is looking even better than he did last year: after six games last season, he had one rushing touchdown.

Monache Wins Fifth-Straight Thanks to Ty Baxter

Ty Baxter's big game helped extend Monache's winning streak to five on Friday. Nobody could stop Baxter as he rushed for 115 yards and two touchdowns on only 15 carries.

Baxter must have El Diamante's number; he was a force to be reckoned with the last time he faced them too. When Baxter last faced the Miners back in October of 2023, he rushed for 110 yards and a touchdown, and also picked up 92 receiving yards and a touchdown.

Big Game from Shimer As Monache Won 37-0

D.J. Shimer's big game helped extend Monache's winning streak to five on Friday. Shimer was dynamite, rushing for 75 yards and two touchdowns.

This season, Shimer has run in 7 touchdowns while averaging 95 rushing yards per game. He is looking even better than he did last year: after six games last season, he was only averaging 6.5 rushing yards per game.
