Baseball Recap: Mount Dora Takes a Loss

Mount Dora lost to Eustis last Wednesday and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Hurricanes fell 6-2 to the Panthers. The Hurricanes have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Mount Dora got a good showing from Charlie Antunez, who tossed three innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. Antunez has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than one walk in three consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, Mount Dora saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Noah Macinness, who went 1-for-2 with one RBI.

Mount Dora's loss dropped their record down to 5-5. As for Eustis, their victory bumped their record up to 7-3.

Mount Dora wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next game, an 18-0 win against Wekiva on the 9th. As for Eustis, they have also already played their next contest, an 8-5 victory against Pine Ridge on the 10th.
