Basketball Recap: Northeast Nodaway Comes Up Short

After flying high against DeKalb last Friday, Northeast Nodaway came back down to earth. The Northeast Nodaway Blue Jays fell 44-36 to the Union Star Trojans on Tuesday. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Blue Jays this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 37-31 back in December of 2024.

Northeast Nodaway has also been struggling recently as they've lost 11 of their last 12 contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-20 record this season. As for Union Star, their win ended an eight-game drought on the road and puts them at 3-17.

Northeast Nodaway didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 76-36 loss against East Atchison [Tarkio/Fairfax] on the 7th. As for Union Star, they have also already played their next match, a 72-25 defeat against Osborn on the 7th.
