Basketball Game Preview: West Brunswick Trojans vs. South Brunswick Cougars + Official Tickets

The West Brunswick Trojans will take on the South Brunswick Cougars at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.

West Brunswick fought the good fight in their overtime contest against North Myrtle Beach on Friday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell 53-46 to the Chiefs. The Trojans haven't had much luck with the Chiefs recently, as the team has come up short the last four times they've met.

Despite the defeat, West Brunswick got top-tier performance from Kveon Griffin, who almost dropped a double-double with 19 points and nine boards. Jerrison Dixon was another key player, shooting 45% from the field en route to 12 points and six rebounds.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for South Brunswick, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Tuesday. They had just enough and edged out East Columbus 57-55. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Cougars have posted since November 25, 2024.

West Brunswick's loss dropped their record down to 1-1. As for South Brunswick, their win ended a seven-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 2-1.

West Brunswick didn't have too much breathing room in their matchup against South Brunswick in their previous meeting back in February, but they still walked away with a 57-51 victory. One of the biggest obstacles trying to stand in the way of that victory was the Cougars' Chase Robinson, who went 8-for-15 on his way to 20 points and six boards. Now that he won't be playing on Tuesday, will it be easier for the Trojans to walk away with another win? There's only one way to find out.
