Volleyball Recap: Mounds View Comes Up Short

Mounds View was the 3-1 winner over Cretin-Derham Hall when they last played one another back in September of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Mustangs fell 3-1 to the Raiders on Thursday. Mustangs fans who chose to attend the game sure picked the wrong one: it was the first time the team has lost against the Raiders since Thursday.

Mounds View started the match hot and won the first set, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last three. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 26-28, 25-21, 27-25, 26-24.

Cecilia Klein had a dynamite game For Cretin-Derham Hall., getting 18 digs and four assists. With that strong performance, Klein is now averaging an impressive 10.5 digs per game. Adelaide Frattallone also deserves some recognition as she posted her first assists of the season.

Mounds View now has a losing record of 3-4. As for Cretin-Derham Hall, the victory was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 10-1.
