Evansville Reitz won the last time they faced New Albany and things went their way on Saturday too. The Panthers put the hurt on the Bulldogs with a sharp 63-43 win. 63 seems to be a good number for the Panthers as the squad scooped up a victory with the same number of points in their previous game.

Evansville Reitz found their leader in sophomore Rhyan Wagner, who shot 44% from the field on her way to 24 points. Another player making a difference was Kierstyn Kaiser, who posted ten points along with six rebounds and three steals.

Evansville Reitz has started the season off flawlessly and has a 2-0 record to show for it. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they've averaged 63.0 points this season. As for New Albany, they are on an eight-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-6.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Evansville Reitz will have some time to savor their victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Evansville Mater Dei at 7:00 p.m. on December 3. As for New Albany, they will venture away from home to challenge Avon at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday.
