Sweetwater hasn't had much luck against Meigs County recently, but that could start to change on Monday. The Wildcats will face off against the Tigers at 6:00 p.m. Sweetwater is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 8.4 runs per game this season.

Last Wednesday, Sweetwater came up short against Sequoyah and fell 4-1. The Wildcats have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Sadie Scott spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered three earned (and one unearned) runs on six hits.

At the plate, Sweetwater saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Kylee Richeson, who went 1-for-3 with one RBI.

Meanwhile, Meigs County fell victim to McMinn Central and their airtight pitching crew on Wednesday. They took a 3-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Chargers. The Tigers' defeat signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.

The loss was their first at home , dropping their record down to 14-2. As for Meigs County, their defeat dropped their record down to 5-8.

Sweetwater took their victory against Meigs County in their previous matchup back in March by a conclusive 12-0 score. Will the Wildcats repeat their success, or do the Tigers have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
