Basketball Recap: Griffin Bears vs. Howard Huskies
The Griffin Bears can now show off ten landslide victories after their most recent game on Tuesday. They were the clear victor by a 53-31 margin over Howard. Given Griffin's advantage in MaxPreps' Georgia basketball rankings (they are ranked 133rd, while the Huskies are ranked 426th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Griffin's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Naima Foster, who scored 13 points. Another player making a difference was Kimora Martin, who scored 11 points.
Griffin's victory bumped their record up to 14-9. As for Howard, they dropped their record down to 4-18 with that defeat, which was their ninth straight on the road.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Griffin will square off against the Red Devils at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Howard, they will head out on the road to take on the Panthers at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Perry has now lost seven straight, and the team is hunting for their first win since January 16.
