Volleyball Recap: Licking Takes a Loss

Licking was the 3-1 winner over Sullivan when they last played one another back in October of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Wildcats came up short against the Eagles on Thursday, falling 3-0.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-14, 25-18, 25-18.

Sullivan was led to victory by Andi Giebler and Ava Todd. Giebler had 14 digs and one assist, while Todd had 11 assists and two aces. Giebler has been hot recently, having posted 14 or more digs the last three times she's played.

Licking has traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 7-13-4 record this season. As for Sullivan, their victory was their seventh straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 10-7-1.

Looking ahead, Licking will host Laquey on Saturday. As for Sullivan, they will be taking part in a tournament against Capital City at 8:30 a.m. on Saturday.
