Basketball Recap: Petersburg Finds Home Court Redemption Against Guthrie

There's no place like home for Petersburg, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Saturday. They came out on top against the Guthrie Jaguars by a score of 35-27 on Friday. That's more bragging rights for the Buffaloes, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Petersburg can attribute much of their success to Lucas Rendon, who posted 12 points.

Petersburg's victory ended a three-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 5-6. As for Guthrie, their defeat dropped their record down to 8-8.

The future could be bright for both Petersburg and Guthrie: their next opponents haven't had the best luck recently. Petersburg will try to hand Kress their third-straight loss when the two meet at 12:00 p.m. on December 30th. Meanwhile, Guthrie will try to hand Benjamin their fourth-straight defeat when the two meet at 3:00 p.m. on Friday.
