Chatfield entered their tilt with Ralston Valley on Thursday with five consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with six. They came within a single run of losing the streak, but they secured a 4-3 W against the Mustangs. That's two games straight that the Chargers have won by just one run.

Chatfield got a great performance from Riley Suddath as he tossed 5.2 innings while giving up just two earned (and one unearned) runs off six hits. Suddath has been consistent: he hasn't given up more than one walk in five consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, Brody Logan was incredible, firing off two home runs and four RBI while going 2-for-3. Those two home runs gave him a new career-high.

Chatfield lost a few balls and finished the game with two home runs. They are a perfect 6-0 when they post two or more home runs.

Chatfield's win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 13-8. They've had to fight for that success though, as they only beat their opponents by an average of one runs across that stretch. As for Ralston Valley, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 10-10.

Coming up, Ralston Valley will challenge Arvada West at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. Chatfield will be paying especially close attention to the Mustangs' match: after the Mustangs face off against the Wildcats, they'll take on Chatfield again at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday.
