Volleyball Recap: Ronan Chiefs vs. Bigfork Vikings & Valkyries
Ronan couldn't capitalize on their home-court advantage in their season opener. They took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Bigfork Vikings & Valkyries on Thursday. The Chiefs have struggled against the Vikings & Valkyries recently, as their game on Thursday was their third consecutive lost matchup.
Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-14, 27-25, 17-25, 25-21.
Even though they lost, Ronan was lethal from the service line and finished the game with 16 aces. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Bigfork only served three.
Bigfork can attribute much of their success to Cassy Schlicht, who had 18 digs.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Ronan will face off against Whitefish at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Bigfork, they will have some time to savor their win since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Ronan at 7:00 p.m. on October 10th.
