Volleyball Recap: Picayune Takes a Loss + How To Watch

Picayune was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Bay Tigers. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Tigers this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-0 back in August.

The loss didn't mean the game wasn't competitive: Bay scored at least 18 points in every set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-18, 25-27, 25-21, 25-23.

Picayune's defeat dropped their record down to 5-16. As for Bay, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four contests. That's provided a massive bump to their 11-24 record this season.

Picayune and Bay are set to take part in some playoff action in their next matches. The Maroon Tide will challenge George County at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Bay, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Columbia at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday.
