Baseball Recap: Volcano Vista Comes Up Short

Volcano Vista and Los Lunas squared off in some playoff action on Friday, but Volcano Vista had to settle for second. They lost 15-1 to the Tigers. The Hawks were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Tigers earlier this season, when they won 10-5.

Volcano Vista saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Aziah Gonzales, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one double.

Volcano Vista's defeat dropped their record down to 15-12. As for Los Lunas, they have been performing well recently as they've won nine of their last 12 matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 17-10 record this season.

While Volcano Vista had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday.
