Dunbar is 8-2 against Eastern since February of 2015 and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Wednesday. The Dunbar Crimson Tide will head out on the road to face off against the Eastern Ramblers at 7:30 p.m. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this match.

Dunbar is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another one of District of Columbia's top teams: Cardozo, who was ranked fourth at the time (Dunbar was ranked 13th). Dunbar lost 60-34 to Cardozo on Friday.

Meanwhile, Eastern was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap on Saturday as they fell 60-54 to KIPP DC Legacy College Prep.

Eastern's loss dropped their record down to 13-7. As for Dunbar, their defeat dropped their record down to 9-9.

Dunbar took their win against Eastern when the teams last played back in January of 2024 by a conclusive 67-41. The rematch might be a little tougher for Dunbar since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
