Basketball Recap: Norwood's Win on Friday Extends Winning Streak to Six

Norwood waltzed into their game on Friday with five straight wins... but they left with six. They enjoyed a cozy 48-33 win over the Bellingham Blackhawks. Given the Mustangs' advantage in MaxPreps' Massachusetts basketball rankings (they are ranked 56th, while the Blackhawks are ranked 204th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Norwood pushed their record up to 6-1 with the victory, which was their third straight on the road. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 59.3 points per game. As for Bellingham, they are on a 16-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-9.

Coincidentally, Norwood and Bellingham will both be playing Dedham the next time they take the court. Norwood will head out to face Dedham at 2:30 p.m. on Saturday, while Bellingham will host them at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
