Softball Recap: Turner Trojans vs. Jefferson Eagles

It may have taken eight innings to finish the job, but Turner ultimately got the result they hoped for on Friday. They narrowly escaped with a victory as the squad sidled past the Jefferson Eagles 2-1. Winning may never get old, but Turner sure is getting used to it with their third in a row.

Lauryn Wells looked comfortable as she tossed three innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. She has been consistent recently: she hasn't given up more than two walks in eight consecutive pitching appearances.

On the hitting side, Kamdyn Davis was excellent, going 4-for-4 with three stolen bases. Another player making a difference was Autumn Meris, who scored a run while going 2-for-4.

On Jefferson's side, Hilden Dempsey spent all 7.2 innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned (and one unearned) run on seven hits and racked up nine Ks.
