Soccer Game Preview: Penncrest vs. Springfield

The Penncrest Lions will square off against the Springfield Cougars at 3:45 p.m. on Tuesday. Neither squad made it on the board the last time they hit the pitch, so they've probably got a bit of extra motivation.

Penncrest is probably headed into the matchup with a chip on their shoulder considering Garnet Valley just ended the team's three-match winning streak on Tuesday. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Jaguars.

Meanwhile, Springfield didn't have quite enough to beat Conestoga on Tuesday and fell 2-1. Springfield have struggled against Conestoga recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive lost matchup.

Penncrest's loss dropped their record down to 7-5. As for Springfield, their defeat dropped their record down to 8-4.

Penncrest skirted past Springfield 1-0 in their previous meeting back in October of 2024. Will the Lions repeat their success, or do the Cougars have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
