Plainfield entered their tilt with Decatur Central on Wednesday with nine consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with ten. Their pitcher stepped up to hand the Hawks  an   11-0 shutout. Considering the Quakers have won nine games by more than five  runs this season, Wednesday's  blowout was nothing new.
 Kami Arnett made a splash while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she  didn't allow a single  earned run and  allowed only  one  hit while striking out 11 over five innings pitched. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't  tossed less than six  strikeouts in five consecutive appearances. She was also stellar in the batter's box,  going 3-for-4 with three  RBI, one  triple,  and one  double.
 In other batting news,  Ayva Mayes was  incredible,  going 3-for-4 with two  runs, one  stolen base,  and two  RBI. That's the most  hits  she has posted  over her last 11  matchups. Another player making a difference was  Kylie Fish, who  went 1-for-3 with two  runs, one  double,  and one  RBI.
 Plainfield  always had someone on base and  finished the game having  posted an OBP of .516. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Decatur Central only posted  an  OBP of  .167.
Plainfield's win was  their 13th straight on the road dating back to last season, which  pushed their record up to 15-1. Those  road  victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.0 run on average over those games. As for Decatur Central, they moved to 6-5 with that  loss, which also ended their three-game winning streak.
 Looking ahead, Plainfield will face off against Lafayette Jefferson at 10:00  a.m.  on Saturday. As for Decatur Central, they will head out on the road to  take on  Noblesville  at 10:00  a.m.  on Saturday.
