Baseball Recap: Greater Latrobe Gets the Win

It may have taken eight innings to finish the job, but Greater Latrobe ultimately got the result they hoped for on Thursday. They narrowly escaped with a win as the team sidled past the Mifflin County Huskies 5-4.

Greater Latrobe's victory was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 10-4. They've had to fight for that success though, as they only beat their opponents by an average of 1.33 runs across that stretch. As for Mifflin County, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost four of their last five contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-4 record this season.

Greater Latrobe wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next matchup, a 12-3 win against Williamsburg on the 25th. As for Mifflin County, they have also already played their next game, a 13-0 victory against Curwensville on the 25th.
