Baseball Recap: North Sevier Has No Trouble Against North Summit

North Sevier's game on Tuesday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Wednesday. They were the clear victors by a 13-3 margin over the North Summit Braves. The victory continues a trend for the Wolves in their matchups with the Braves: they've now won four in a row.

Hunter Lund made a splash no matter where he played. He struck out seven batters over three innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. Those seven strikeouts gave him a new career-high. He was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-4 with two runs and one stolen base.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Parker Jensen, who went a perfect 4-for-4 with three stolen bases, three runs, and four RBI. He has become a key player for North Sevier: the team is 4-1 when he posts at least two stolen bases, but 2-12 otherwise. Rylan Frischknecht was another key player, going 2-for-4 with two stolen bases, two runs, and two RBI.

North Sevier always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .564. They are a perfect 4-0 when they post an OBP of .513 or better.

The win was their first on the road , bumping their record up to 6-13. As for North Summit, they are on a 13-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-17.
