Basketball Recap: Pierce City Comes Up Short

Pierce City lost against Hollister back in December of 2023 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Pierce City Eagles were just a bucket shy of victory and fell 54-53 to the Hollister Tigers.

Pierce City dropped their record down to 4-4 with the loss, which was their eighth straight on the road dating back to last season. As for Hollister, their victory bumped their record up to 3-5.

Pierce City will get a bit of extra time to process the defeat as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Lockwood at 7:30 p.m. on January 7th. Lockwood will roll in looking for their fifth straight win, something Pierce City surely won't give up without a fight. As for Hollister, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 66-64 loss against Ash Grove on the 30th.
