Basketball Game Preview: Lamar Silver Foxes vs. C.A. Johnson Hornets

Lamar is 0-5 against C.A. Johnson since January of 2015 but things could change on Friday. The Lamar Silver Foxes will be playing at home against the C.A. Johnson Hornets at 6:15 p.m.

Lamar is headed into Friday's match looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their 19th straight game dating back to last season on Friday. They were two points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 26-24 heartbreaker at the hands of Governor's School for Science & Math.

Meanwhile, C.A. Johnson had already won five in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 25 points) and they went ahead and made it six on Tuesday. They claimed a resounding 58-24 victory over the Panthers. The Hornets have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won eight games by 22 points or more this season.

C.A. Johnson is also on a roll lately: they've won 11 of their last 13 contests, which provided a nice bump to their 12-8 record this season. The wins came thanks to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 24.7 points per game. As for Lamar, their loss dropped their record down to 0-15.
