Baseball Recap: Glacier Peak Gets the Win

It may have taken eight innings to finish the job, but Glacier Peak ultimately got the result they hoped for on Wednesday. They never let the Cascade Bruins get on the board and left with a 9-0 win. The victory continues a trend for the Grizzlies in their matchups with the Bruins: they've now won five in a row.

Brody Monica looked comfortable as he didn't allow a single earned run while striking out eight over four innings pitched. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than one walk in four consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, Joey Stehle was excellent, getting on base in both of his plate appearances with two stolen bases and one RBI. Those two stolen bases gave him a new career-high. Jackson Birrell was another key player, going 2-for-4 with one run and one RBI.

Glacier Peak's record now sits at 15-4. As for Cascade, they dropped their record down to 4-15 with the loss, which was their 12th straight at home dating back to last season.
