Basketball Recap: Rockport-Fulton Snaps Four-Game Streak of Wins on the Road

After flying high against Calhoun last Friday, Rockport-Fulton came back down to earth. The Rockport-Fulton Pirates lost 70-47 to the Sinton Pirates on Tuesday. Rockport-Fulton hasn't had much luck with Sinton recently, as the team's come up short the last four times they've met.

When it comes to explaining why Rockport-Fulton lost, don't look at Roman Cox. Despite the final result, he went 7 of 13 on his way to 19 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Brian Kizer Jr, who posted five points along with seven boards and five assists.

Rockport-Fulton's defeat ended a four-game streak of away wins and brought them to 15-16. As for Sinton, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 7-17.

Coincidentally, the two teams will both be playing Jones the next time they take the court. Sinton will head out to face Jones at 7:30 p.m. on Friday, while Rockport-Fulton will host them at 7:30 p.m. on February 4th.
