Baseball Recap: Cape Fear Continues Home Dominance on Tuesday

It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Cape Fear had no problem doing just that on Tuesday. They walked away with a 4-0 victory over the Northern Nash Knights.

Not much got past Caden Jeffrey, who gave up just a hit and racked up 11 Ks to keep Northern Nash off the board.

At the plate, Landon Underwood was incredible, going 1-for-2 with one home run, three runs, and one stolen base. Cape Fear is undefeated when Underwood posts two or more runs, but 9-10 otherwise.

Cape Fear pushed their record up to 17-10 with the win, which was their third straight at home. Those home victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 16.3 runs over those games. As for Northern Nash, they have been struggling recently as they've lost six of their last seven games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 8-12 record this season.

Cape Fear will face off against West Brunswick on Friday. Northern Nash does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
