Baseball Recap: West Point Comes Up Short

West Point was the 6-3 winner over Clarksdale when they last played one another last Tuesday, but their luck changed this time around. The Green Wave took a 6-2 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Wildcats on Friday.

West Point dropped their record down to 9-16 with the loss, which was their eighth straight on the road. As for Clarksdale, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 6-9 record this season.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Clarksdale beat West Point by a score of 7-1 later that day.
