Preview: Horton Chargers vs. Jackson Heights Cobras

The Horton Chargers will be home for the holidays to greet the Jackson Heights Cobras at 6:00 p.m. The timing isn't great for Horton: they have been struggling with six straight losses at home dating back to last season, while Jackson Heights has snatched up five consecutive wins on the road dating back to last season.
Last Tuesday, Horton had to suffer through a rough 69-18 loss at the hands of Pleasant Ridge. The defeat unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Horton in their matchups with Pleasant Ridge: they've now lost four in a row.
Meanwhile, Jackson Heights' 19-5 record from last season is now well into the rear view mirror after another tough outing. They ended up on the wrong side of a rough 46-26 walloping at the hands of Pleasant Ridge on Friday. While losing is never fun, Jackson Heights can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Kansas basketball rankings (they are ranked 253rd, while Pleasant Ridge is ranked 114th).
Dawson Cochren put forth a good effort for the losing side as she scored ten points along with eight rebounds and four steals. She scored a full 38.5% of Jackson Heights' points, the third time in a row she's earned more than a third of the team's points.
Horton's defeat dropped their record down to 1-3. As for Jackson Heights, they now have a losing record at 1-2.
