Basketball Recap: Tabb Takes a Loss

Tabb and Lafayette squared off in some playoff action on Tuesday, but Tabb had to settle for second. They were outmatched by the Lafayette Rams and fell 51-18. Having soared to a lofty 65 points in the game before, the Tigers couldn't push the score so high this time.

MaKayla Keys was her usual excellent self, putting up 14 points along with eight assists and five steals for Lafayette. Keys has been hot, having posted three or more steals the last seven times she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Makayla Brooks, who posted 12 points in addition to seven boards and three steals.

Tabb's loss was their third straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 14-10. As for Lafayette, the win was the sixth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 16-6.

Tabb does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Lafayette, they will face off against Hopewell at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. One thing working in Hopewell's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last six games.
