Basketball Recap: Rainier Christian Comes Up Short

Rainier Christian was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They took a 62-47 bruising from the Northwest Yeshiva Lions. The Mustangs were not able to make up for their defeat to the Lions from their previous meeting back in January of 2024.

Evan Kaufthal continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines for Northwest Yeshiva, dropping a double-double on 24 points and ten boards. Kaufthal is on a roll when it comes to rebounds, as he's now pulled down eight or more in the last four games he's played. Another player making a difference was Joe Benoliel, who posted 15 points in addition to five boards and three steals.

Rainier Christian's loss dropped their record down to 1-7. As for Northwest Yeshiva, they pushed their record up to 9-3 with the victory, which was their sixth straight at home.

Rainier Christian will square off against Muckleshoot Tribal at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Northwest Yeshiva has already played their next matchup (against Northwest Christian), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
