Preview: Simon Gratz Bulldogs vs. Audenried
Simon Gratz has enjoyed the comforts of home their last three games, but now they'll head out on the road. They will challenge Audenried at 3:15 p.m. on Thursday. Simon Gratz has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 180 points over their last three matchups.
Last Tuesday, Simon Gratz beat Academy at Palumbo 56-44.
It was another big night for Jabrelle Dennison, who scored 21 points. Sihaaj Johnson was another key contributor, scoring 14 points.
Meanwhile, Audenried's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their fourth straight loss. They might have been a little too into the holiday spirit, gifting Murrell Dobbins Vo-Tech an easy 82-59 win. While losing is never fun, Audenried can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Pennsylvania basketball rankings (they are ranked 455th, while Murrell Dobbins Vo-Tech is ranked 55th).
Simon Gratz now has a winning record of 3-2. As for Audenried, their loss dropped their record down to 1-5.
Simon Gratz came up short against Audenried in their previous meeting back in December of 2022, falling 57-44. Can Simon Gratz avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
