Baseball Recap: Riviera Prep Takes a Loss

Riviera Prep fell victim to Killian and their airtight pitching crew on Friday. They lost 15-0 to the Cougars. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Bulldogs of the 10-0 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in March of 2021.

Riviera Prep has also been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-8 record this season. As for Killian, with the win, they broke their three-game losing streak and moved their record to 9-11.

Coming up, Riviera Prep will venture away from home to face off against Miami Country Day at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. The Spartans have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 13.56 runs per game on average), something the Bulldogs will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Killian, they will look to defend their home field on Tuesday against Westminster Christian at 3:30 p.m. The Warriors will roll in looking for their fourth straight victory, something the Cougars surely won't give up without a fight.
