Basketball Recap: Farmington Comes Up Short

Farmington played a tough contest on Saturday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They were dealt a 55-17 defeat at the hands of the Kewanee Boilermakers. The Farmers were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 30-4.

Paige Stevens was Farmington's leading scorer, having posted six points.

Farmington has traveled a rocky road recently having lost 13 of their last 15 matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-21 record this season. As for Kewanee, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 17-9.

Farmington will venture away from home to challenge Rockridge at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Farmington is facing Rockridge at the right time seeing as Rockridge is stuck on a four-game losing streak. As for Kewanee, they will welcome Orion at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Kewanee will also cruise into their next game with the timing on their side: Orion will have lost three straight heading into Wednesday's contest.
