Football Recap: Siegel Takes a Loss

Friday just wasn't the day for Siegel's offense. They were dealt a 38-0 loss at the hands of the Oakland Patriots on Friday. While losing is never fun, the Stars can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Tennessee football rankings (they are ranked 88th, while the Patriots are ranked second).

The critical scores for Oakland came from Deontae Short, Joel Wyatt, Donte Cameron, Justis Haggard, and Craig Tutt.

Siegel's defeat was their first in the district, dropping their district record down to 2-1 and their overall record down to 3-2. As for Oakland, the win keeps them at an undefeated 5-0.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Siegel will square off against rival Rockvale at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Oakland is set to face off against their familiar foe Blackman at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The two teams have allowed few points on average (the Patriots 4, the Blaze 5.8) so any points scored will be well earned.
