Richton won the last time they faced Resurrection Catholic and B.J. Brown did his part to make sure it happened again. The Rebels were the clear victors by a 28-7 margin over the Eagles on Friday with plenty of help from Brown, who rushed for 205 yards and three TDs on only 12 carries. Richton is undefeated when Brown posts 80 or more rushing yards, but 1-2 otherwise.

One reason for the win was Richton's imposing defense, which managed to get into the backfield for three sacks. The team can thank three different players for their defensive prowess: Jabari Breland, Logan McRee, and Slade Overstreet, who each picked up one sack apiece.

Richton's record now sits at 4-2. As for Resurrection Catholic, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-5.

Richton wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next matchup, a 19-6 defeat against Lumberton on the 10th. As for Resurrection Catholic, they have also already played their next game, a 41-3 loss against Taylorsville on the 10th.
