Basketball Game Preview: Wayne County War Eagles vs. Raymond Rangers

The Wayne County War Eagles and the Raymond Rangers will round out the year against one another at at 12:00 p.m. on Friday. Wayne County has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games.

Last Friday, Wayne County took their game with ease, bagging a 58-23 victory over Vancleave. That 35 point margin sets a new team best for the War Eagles this season.

Meanwhile, Raymond earned a 38-31 win over Pass Christian on Monday.

Wayne County's victory was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 10-2. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 51.3 points per game. As for Raymond, their win bumped their record up to 4-11.

Wayne County came up short against Raymond in their previous matchup back in November of 2018, falling 45-36. Thankfully for Wayne County, Zykeria Anderson (who went 10 of 13 en route to 23 points and four steals) won't be suiting up this time. Will that be enough to change the final result?
