Basketball Recap: Christian Academy Wins Going Away Against Lanesville

Christian Academy hadn't done well against Lanesville recently (they were 0-9 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Thursday. The Warriors strolled past the Eagles with points to spare, taking the game 50-31. For the Warriors, this counts as revenge for the 50-25 victory the Eagles walked away with the last time they faced one another back in November of 2024.

Christian Academy found their leader in freshman Rachel Jones, who went 8-for-11 en route to 21 points. Jones also set a new season-high mark in shooting accuracy with 73%. Another player making a difference was Addison Jackson, who posted nine points and five boards.

Christian Academy was working as a unit and finished the game with 11 assists. That's the most assists they've managed all season.

When it comes to explaining why Lanesville lost, don't look at Ava Simler. Despite the final result, she put up 15 points and three steals.

The win made it two in a row for Christian Academy and bumps their season record up to 2-3. As for Lanesville, with the defeat, they broke their three-game winning streak and moved their record to 3-2.

Christian Academy will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against Providence at 7:30 p.m. on December 2. As for Lanesville, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 57-44 loss against West Washington on the 22nd.
