Softball Recap: Page Comes Up Short

After flying high against Western Guilford two weeks ago, Page came back down to earth. The Pirates fell just short of the Grimsley Whirlies by a score of 23-22 on Tuesday. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Whirlies this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 17-2 back in March.

Page has also traveled a rocky road recently, having lost seven of their last eight matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 2-10 record this season. As for Grimsley, their win ended a seven-game drought at home and bumped them up to 5-12.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Page will challenge rival Northern Guilford at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Meanwhile, Grimsley is set to face off against their familiar foe Southwest Guilford at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
