Preview: Carver A&T Wildcats vs. Dulaney Lions
Carver A&T is 0-4 against Dulaney since February of 2017 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Wednesday. The Carver A&T Wildcats will be playing at home against the Dulaney Lions at 4:00 p.m. Both teams come into the matchup bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Carver A&T put the finishing touches on their fourth blowout victory of the season on Friday. They put the hurt on Patapsco with a sharp 44-24 victory. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest victory Carver A&T has posted against Patapsco since December 14, 2016.
Carver A&T found their leader in underclassman Elisah Guity, who scored 24 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Guity has scored all season. Laila Brandon was another key contributor, scoring ten points.
Meanwhile, Dulaney sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 37-35 victory over New Town on Friday. Despite the win, that was the fewest points Dulaney has scored all year.
Carver A&T's win bumped their record up to 5-3. As for Dulaney, they pushed their record up to 6-2 with that victory, which was their third straight at home.
Carver A&T might still be hurting after the 52-29 defeat they got from Dulaney in their previous meeting back in February of 2023. Can Carver A&T avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
