Soccer Game Preview: Eagle Ridge Academy vs. The Academy

The Eagle Ridge Academy Warriors will head out on the road to square off against The Academy at 4:00 p.m. on Monday.

Eagle Ridge Academy will roll into the contest after a wild two-game stretch: they only put up one goal on Tuesday, then bounced right back against Prospect Ridge Academy on Thursday. The Warriors never let the Miners get on the board and left with a 4-0 victory. The final result isn't all that surprising considering Eagle Ridge Academy's considerable advantage in MaxPreps' Colorado soccer rankings (they are ranked 34th, while Prospect Ridge Academy are ranked 177th).

Meanwhile, neither The Academy nor Rocky Mountain Prep SMART could gain the upper hand on Thursday so the two teams had to settle for a 1-1 draw.

Eagle Ridge Academy's win bumped their record up to 6-1-1. The Academy's draw gives them a new season record of 7-1-2.

Eagle Ridge Academy couldn't quite get it done against The Academy when the teams last played back in October of 2024 as they fell 2-0. Can the Warriors avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
