Baseball Recap: Arbor View Takes a Loss

Arbor View and Bishop Gorman squared off in some playoff action on Wednesday, but Arbor View had to settle for second. They fell just short of the Gaels by a score of 3-2. Unfortunately, that's the third time they've come up short against the Gaels this season, with their most recent defeat being a 13-10 loss back in March.

Arbor View saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jase DeSantis, who went 2-for-3 with one run.

This is the second loss in a row for Arbor View and nudges their season record down to 17-10. Even worse, they were so close both times: the defeats came by an average of only 1.5 runs. As for Bishop Gorman, the victory snapped their losing streak at three games and leaves them with a 19-13 record.

Arbor View does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Bishop Gorman, they will square off against Palo Verde at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Gaels' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Panthers have averaged an impressive 7.9 runs per game this season.
