Recap: Hamlin Pied Pipers vs. Aspermont Hornets
The Hamlin Pied Pipers's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their third straight loss. They took a 36-31 hit to the loss column at the hands of Aspermont. The defeat unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Hamlin in their matchups with Aspermont: they've now lost six in a row.
Despite the loss, Hamlin still got an impressive performance from AJ Rivera, who scored 11 points. Ian Gruben was another key contributor, scoring 7 points.
Aspermont's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Jaxon Hodges led the charge by dropping a double-double on 11 points and 11 rebounds. The contest was Hodges' seventh in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Seth Johnson, who scored 14 points.
