Basketball Recap: Atlanta Classical Academy Starts Season with Loss at Home

Atlanta Classical Academy unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-court advantage in their season opener. They had to suffer through a 57-29 loss at the hands of the Atlanta International Eagles. The Cavaliers haven't had much luck with the Eagles recently, as the team has come up short the last seven times they've met.

Several Cavaliers players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Emmaline Franklin, who shot 50% from the field to rack up 16 points and five boards.

Coming up, Atlanta Classical Academy will be playing at home against Southwest Atlanta Christian at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Atlanta International, they will head out to take on Clarkston at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
