Howland came into Saturday's contest looking for another win against Hoover, but Claire Jurica wouldn't allow it. The Vikings were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Tigers on Saturday thanks in part to Jurica, who had three digs and three aces. Jurica is also crushing it when it comes to assists: she's posted at least 25 every time she's taken the court this season.

The final score came out to 25-15, 25-12, 25-20.

Hoover was led to victory by Sofia Tula and Mallory Stutzman. Tula had ten digs and two aces, while Stutzman had 15 digs and one assist. Those two aces gave Tula a new career-high.

They weren't the only good servers: Hoover was lethal from the service line and finished the match with ten aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least seven aces in five consecutive matchups.

Hoover's victory ended a three-match drought at home and bumped them up to 16-5. As for Howland, their loss dropped their record down to 12-9.

Looking ahead, Hoover will face off against Mayfield at 5:00 p.m. on the 20th. As for Howland, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 3-0 win against Struthers on the 13th.
