Vienna extends home winning streak to seven

Recap: Vienna Eagles vs. St. Elizabeth Hornets

Even though the Vienna Eagles have not done well against the St. Elizabeth Hornets recently (they were 1-8 in their previous nine matchups), they didn't let the past get in their way on Tuesday. Vienna walked away with a 52-43 victory over St. Elizabeth. The win made it back-to-back wins for Vienna.

St. Elizabeth's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was NIck Heckemeyer, who scored eight points along with six assists and five rebounds. Another player making a difference was Gavin Williams, who scored four points along with eight rebounds and six assists.

Vienna's victory was their seventh straight at home, which pushed their record up to 13-4. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 68.9 points per game. As for St. Elizabeth, they have not been sharp recently, as they've lost four of their last five contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-9 record this season.

Vienna will look to defend their home court on Friday against California at 6:00 p.m. St. Elizabeth on the road again on Monday and play against Hermitage at 5:30 p.m. on January 29th.
