Basketball Recap: Coalgate Comes Up Short

Coalgate was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They had to suffer through a 77-50 loss at the hands of the Valliant Bulldogs. While losing is never fun, the Wildcats can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Oklahoma basketball rankings (they are ranked 409th, while the Bulldogs are ranked 136th).

Coalgate's defeat dropped their record down to 1-9. As for Valliant, their victory ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 7-6.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Coalgate will square off against Davis at 8:00 p.m. on Friday. Valliant has already played their next game (against Rattan), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
