Volleyball Recap: San Simon Comes Up Short

San Simon was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Fort Thomas Apaches. Unfortunately, that's the third time they've come up short against the Apaches this season, with their most recent loss being a 2-0 defeat back in September.

Bryleigh Sloan paced San Simon's offense, picking up six kills. Sloan got some help from Alexia Newell and her eight assists. Sloan was also solid from the service line: she led the team with six aces.

San Simon's loss dropped their record down to 15-14. As for Fort Thomas, they are on a roll lately: they've won nine of their last ten matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 16-6 record this season.

San Simon does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Fort Thomas, they will take on St. David at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
